Cruel Behaviour Towards Animals is becoming a more and more important point to discuss and to work on for consumers. Like producers, supermarkets, and restaurants would be foolish to ignore the cruelty human beings are experiencing to animals.
Animal cruelty is a tool that brings all the commitments together in one place. Which provides a clear and transparent scorecard for all to see.
Leading Global actions on Farm Animal Welfare
The Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW) reveals that almost 60 out of 150 companies reviewed rank in the lowest tiers (tiers 5 and 6). This indicates that they provide little or no information on their approach to farm animal welfare. Which is something we should ask questions about.
The more surprising news is that one in five of these global food companies has no farm animal welfare policy at all. So they are harming animals.
There is finally encouraging news, however, Over Twenty companies moved up at least one tier. Yet the average score for companies overall is just 35%. Telling/ showing or claiming that there is much room for improvement.
Changes That Are Needed to make
Some of the Companies’ data indicates that some more needs to be done to deliver positive welfare impacts for animals,
These are all included in this movement. Including:
one 4% of companies are telling that the laying hens in their global supply chains are free from beak trimming.
Thankfully, 31% of companies that were only 21% in 2019, report on the proportion of animals (including fin fish) in their global supply chains.
While we are still welcoming this improvement, the vast majority of companies still do not report this
data.
They should make the data and have an eye on the species that are endangered.
All the companies should tell the dealer the customer or send a report for the sake of saving animals from cruelty on their own.
The movement of saving animals from cruelty or having an eye on endangered species by companies can make this world a happy place for animals to live in.
The future of BBFAW Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW)
From April 2021, The Organization has handed over the BBFAW baton to Four Paws, the pillars, International, providing the vision, dedication, technical expertise, and financial support.
This organization is taking an active interest as Four Paws and Compassion in World Farming support. That care, and drive forward the BBFAW program as it enters its second decade.
All Lives Matter
Lives matter, not only human life is important but because of language and thinking ability. We are responsible for taking care of all animals birds and every living thing obviously. The lives of every living species are important just like the life of a human being. If there are laws working on the cruelty of human beings there must be some laws that help animals in feeling secure. There must be some laws or regulations or movements by people to save plants and animals. So that we will be able to save the endangered species of plants and animals at least for some years. They all need our care and time.
